The Urban Technology Alliance 3D smart city event has come to an end and M-Sec partners could not be prouder! Want to know more about what is happening in global cities, what is working and what is not? Recap the event
The Global Smart City Trends virtual event was held from December 8th to 10th 2020 and was organized by the Urban Technology Alliance (UTA), a global non-profit organization focusing on Smart City innovation, with the support of several partners such as the M-Sec project. This conference brought together innovative cities, industry leaders and researchers presenting the latest Smart Cities innovations.
In fact, the M-Sec project was highly represented. The 2nd day of the event was focused on showcasing smart city solutions, with presentations of key technologies for smart cities and existing smart city platforms and infrastructures. The discussion panel “key technologies for smart cities” had the participation of M-Sec researchers Keiko Doguchi, from NTT East, and Levent Gurgen, former researcher at CEA and currently CEO of Kentyou and UTA President. In the afternoon, M-Sec’s smart cities of Santander, in Spain, and Fujisawa, in Japan, also presented their existing smart cities platforms and infrastructures, very much supported by the research that is being lead in the scope of M-Sec.
On the 10th of December, M-Sec Coordinator Vanessa Clemente Nunez presented the M-Sec project in a panel discussion entitled “Smart city research and development”, with the aim of showcasing how the research that is being conducted for the past two years will be able to support end-to-end IoT security application for smart cities.
