M-Sec networked and shared ideas with similar cross-border initiatives at the session at the session ‘EU, Japan and Korea collaboration for breakthrough innovation<\/i>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Europe, Japan and Korea are strategic partners to address the world’s current challenges such as global warming, economic crisis, security threats, inequality, natural disasters and ageing society.<\/span><\/p>\n

On 3 December, professionals from Europe, Japan and Korea met at the event ‘EU, Japan and Korea collaboration for breakthrough innovation<\/em>, to share best practices and success stories in the spheres of <\/span>IoT, cloud computing, 5G, satellite networks, big data and artificial intelligence. The outcomes, challenges and funding opportunities of existing projects (including M-Sec) were presented and discussed.<\/p>\n

During the M-Sec presentation, we were able to share the <\/span>mission <\/span><\/a>of M-Sec, which is to create multi-layered security technologies to ensure hyper-connected smart cities. We were also able to talk about the use cases which will soon be tested in the cities of Fujisawa, Japan, and Santander, Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting took place in Vienna, Austria, as an official event of <\/span>ICT 2018: Imagine Digital – Connect Europe<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>The <\/span>agenda of the meeting<\/span><\/a> can be found here.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, the main takeaways from the event were that:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) Cities are unique
\n2) Cities are aware of the power of IoT for efficiency
\n4) The value is in the ecosystem
\n5) City scale test beds are important<\/p>\n
